A knotty situation? All Tied Up? (K)Not PYP6 who have been learning to tie different knots in preparation for their Outdoor Education Residential visit. How much blood do we have inside us and what does this quantity actually look like? Having visited Dr D in the Secondary Department Science Labs to find out about the ciurculatory system, PYP6 then set about working out the total blood volume of an adult male (specifically the Head of the Primary Department!), female and a child using the formula weight x ml per kg = TBV. Then, what better way to appreciate how much this actually is, than filling the playground with cups - it's a surprising amount! #thisisBISS #BissGausel
