The School Board

The school's board of directors is responsible for the management of the school. They determine policies, plans and budgets necessary for the school's activities. 

The board monitors the school´s financial position and is obliged to ensure that its activities, accounts and management are subject to satisfactory control. They annually set the tuition fees, review and approve the school budget.   

The board must ensure that the children admitted to the school have their right to education fulfilled. It shall ensure the mission and vision, strategies and policies of the school as well as the philosophy of the IB program are implemented.  It shall maintain a child-centred focus in all decision-making and ensure that the public subsidies and tuition fees benefit the children.  

The board shall ensure that teachers and staff in the school have the opportunity to develop professionally and pedagogically. 

Representatives of the student body, parents, staff and the city of Stavanger shall have a right to share their opinions and ask that these are part of the minutes of the meetings. 

 

Transparency Act

The Transparency Act entered into force on 1 July 2022. The Act shall promote enterprises’ respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services and ensure the general public access to information regarding how enterprises address adverse impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
