In the Primary Department we'd like to try something a little different for United Nations Day this year, and also provide a little task for your children to keep them busy over the holiday. They will need a white t-shirt, either an old one or cheap new one. We would like them to decorate it to symbolise their own home country or countries, for example, Norway on the front and Italy on the back. As with their national dress, they may choose any other country if they prefer. They could include pictures of food, monuments, famous people...anything that represents their countries of choice. These can be drawn or stuck on, let your creativity run wild!
On UN Day (Friday, 22nd October) we would like the children to bring the t-shirts with them and be able to wear them whilst we will hold a small parade/march to show off their creations.
