Well PYP1! #BISSGausel

We are so proud of our PYP1 students and the hard work they put into their unit of inquiry under the theme 'How We Express Ourselves.'

Over several weeks, students explored their creativity through a range of mediums, including photography, visual arts, dance, and sculpting. They developed the understanding that people can look, make, and think about art in many different ways, while strengthening skills of observation, interpretation, and reflection.

The unit culminated in a joyful Celebration of Learning, where students shone on stage through dances, songs, and spoken reflections. Families then visited classrooms to enjoy the PYP1 art gallery and see the wonderful work created during the unit. Different year levels also came to visit the classrooms to celebrate the work of our PYP1 students, demonstrating the strength of our community.

A fantastic celebration of creativity, confidence, and growth. Well done to our PYP1 artists and a huge thank you to our teaching team including Ms. Sinha, Ms. Cullion and Ms. Mathers for helping to facilitate the learning experience of our students and supporting their creative growth!
