Keeping balanced is one of the IB learner attributes and our students understand that intellectual, physical, and emotional balance is important to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others. One of our youngest students from PYP1 recently took part in the International Speed Skating event (all types of balance required!) recently held at Sørmarka Arena. Not only did she perform well for her age group (up to 10 yrs) as a recognition, she got the opportunity to meet Peder Kongshaug (Current Olympics Gold Medalist-2022). #Bissisproud #BissGausel #ThisisBISS

A busy day for the primary today as they part in several events organised by the PYP6 students as part of their exhibition. A non-uniform day fundraiser, book swap event and a school clean where everyone in the primary department helped to clean the school grounds and sports fields. A fantastic effort by everyone supporting the PYP6 students in their chosen actions. #bissisproud #BissGausel #ThisisBISS

We love to hear about our student's successes outside of school. One of our PYP6 students swims with SSK - Stavanger Svømmeklubb and participated in LÅMØ Vest in Bergen where over 300 swimmers met to compete in various swimming events and races. He won bronze medal in the 50ms Butterfly for his age category and this performance along with great results in his other disciplines earned him a trophy and the rating of 6th in the whole of the Norway West Region. Lots of congratulations to him and all the swimmers taking part, we are so proud! #bissisproud #ThisisBISS #BissGausel

 

 

 

The MYP Student council came to see the new outdoor area which is ready for students to start using during lessons and breaks. What originally started as a request by the council for more sheltered areas at break developed into an outdoor learning area that can be used by both the PYP and MYP during lessons as well as providing more shelter during break times. #thisisBISS #BissGausel

PYP4 hosted their mini-exhibition today and invited parents and siblings to visit and share their learning from their current UOI. There were so many different elements to their learning including displays, research, artwork, 3D printed models, papier mache models, impromptu singing, and dancing ... not to mention making 8 different recipes ...some really delicious treats. Thanks to all the parents who took the time to visit today and to our amazing PYP4s - Well Done! #ThisisBISS #bissisproud #BissGausel #ibpyp
