Transdisciplinary Learning in Action #BISSGausel
Jo Horne

Students recently enjoyed a fun-filled transdisciplinary lesson that brought together maths, outdoor education and computing within the context of the current PYP3 unit under the theme 'Where we are in Place and Time' about migration.

Working in teams, PYP3 students used a school map and a set of coordinates to find specific locations around campus. This hands-on exploration helped them apply their mathematical understanding in an authentic context while collaborating, problem-solving, and navigating the outdoors. Once each group located their destination, they captured the moment with a team photo.

It was a wonderful example of how learning in the PYP connects disciplines in meaningful, engaging ways. Well done, explorers!
