THIMUN - The Hague #BISSGausel #BISSSentrum

This week, 21 students from both BISS Gausel & BISS Sentrum are attending the 58th annual THIMUN conference in the Hague, NL. Representing the delegations of Afghanistan and Cuba, students will be discussing, debating, and creating resolutions on an array of crucial socio-political topics, including: the protection of cultural heritage in armed conflicts and occupied territories, the question of the impact of protectionist policies on international trade, strengthening international legal frameworks against illicit trade in cultural property, and protecting journalists and media workers’ freedom of expression in times of disinformation.

Our delegates go to visit the International Criminal Court (ICC) and gain a better understanding of legal procedures used & the impacts of the institution on people worldwide. Students then also got to immerse themselves in stunning Dutch Renaissance art at the breathtaking Mauritshuis museum.
