What stars PYP5 are! They presented an amazing performance to their families today of 'The Pirates of the Curry Bean'. Singing, dancing, acting and a happy ending for all concerned. We are so proud of what they achieved and their brilliant performance. Well done PYP5 and your teachers - you were amazing! #ThisisBISS #BissGausel

 

 

 

Book week has been a wonderful celebration of the enjoyment of reading. It ended today with students dressing up as their favourite book characters and enjoying a tasty fundraiser to raise funds for even more books for our libraries. There were some amazing costumes, as always, including Paddington Bear with an actual real marmalade sandwich in his hat! Assembly included a parade of costumes, a Drop Everything And Read session, a special reading of The Gruffalo in many languages by the teachers, and a dramatisation of the well-loved story My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes by PYP2A and Mrs Rhodes. Thank you to our teachers for organising and our students and parents for celebrating that We Love To Read! #ThisisBISS #BissGausel #welovereading

 

Our new outdoor classroom is getting lots of use. Today, PYP6A used it for their English lesson - writing poetry about Spring. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of Spring they worked collaboratively to create rhyming couplets. #thisisBISS #BissGausel

biss_gausel MYP4 have been conducting experiments to investigate the factors that affect the acceleration of a cart down an inclined plane using light  gates (Dynamic track and cart system). PYP2 's recent UOI has been about forces so they popped by to observe the older students conducting their experiments in the science lab and also to join in and take part in the experimental process. #thisisBISS #BissGausel #STEM #welovescience
