The Squirrels class have been enjoying the nice weather and went for an exploration of the local farm. Their favourite animal was by far the goats and they used their inquiry skills to observe and wonder about them. Working together and planning initiatives are a key part of IB. Students in MYP 4 presented ideas on how to support less fortunate communities affected by forced migration. They evaluated ideas and reflected on how plans could become service as action. Fantastic work, MYP 4! #ThisisBISS #BissGausel

The art room is always a hub of creativity and colour, we love to wander past with the camera. This week, MYP2 have been exploring printing patterns created with their own printing blocks. They carved patterns on erasers with the lino tools and then used them to print patterns with a variety of matching pairs, colourful paper and inks. #thisisBISS #BissGausel

 

The Owls class have been making some special books to share with their classmates. These books have lots of information about the authors themselves. They have been spending time colouring like Illustrators, creating portraits like artists and expressing themselves like communicators to share this important topic. #ThisisBISS #bisspreschool #playbasedlearning #inquirybasedlearning #owlsclass

 

Whilst wandering around school with the camera we found some PYP5 students reading in groups in the foyer. There were some excellent discussions of the text they were reading, investigating unusual vocabulary as well as recapping what they had read previously. Fantastic! #thisisBISS #BissSentrum
