PYP6 Exhibition Begins
Jo Horne

The PYP Exhibition is the culminating, collaborative experience in the final year of the IB Primary Years Programme. PYP6 are ready to start theirs and while their parents were in school for Shared Learning Day, they also met with the class teachers and the programme coordinator to find out about the exhibition, the journey their children are about to start and how they can support them. #thisisBISS #BissGausel

Thank You PYP2!
Jo Horne

School reopened today and PYP2 were out and about during their Outdoor Education lesson caring for our environment by collecting all the litter blown around by the winds. Thank you PYP2! #thisisBISS #BissGausel

Ristakers
Jo Horne

MYP1A have been exploring thermal energy and risk assessment, as they got up close and personal with fire.  How can we hold fire with our bare hands without getting burned? The trick is to ensure the fuel of the fire runs out before the flames reach our skin. The students showed proper risk-taking behaviour when allowing themselves being set on fire. Although the flames won't burn the skin, it still feels warm - and quite scary!

Library Skills
Jo Horne

Our librarian has been working hard to move both libraries in our school to a new Library Management System - it's surprising how many books you have when you start looking. Using their language comprehension skills (and a large amount of organisational skills too), MYP5 students recently helped organise the Norwegian books in the library into genres and ages. Thanks for your help! #thisisBISS #BissGausel #welovereading
