Our MYP2 students brought energy to life through a hands-on experiment exploring particle and kinetic theory. With curiosity leading the way, learners tested ideas, observed reactions, and refined their thinking as they investigated how energy transfers and transforms.

This playful yet purposeful experience sparked rich questioning, as students moved from initial wonderings to more targeted questions, building deeper understanding through collaboration and reflection. It is experiments like these that allow students to build their scientific thinking skills of designing experiments, analysing outcomes and making connections between theory and real-world phenomena.
