Paramedics supporting our Community #BISSGausel

Following a recent visit from the Rogaland County Mayor, PYP2 was excited to welcome a member of our parent community into our learning space.

As part of their 'How We Organize Ourselves' unit, PYP2 students have been exploring communities and the different roles people play within them. Today, Mrs. Bresciani, a parent and paramedic, shared her expertise, helping students understand how paramedics support the community and why this role is so valuable.

Students learned about CPR and defibrillators, practiced chest compressions on a training dummy, and saw how a defibrillator works. Through experiences like this, students deepen their understanding of ideas such as roles, value, and interdependence, seeing how different community members rely on one another.

We are incredibly grateful for the willingness of our wider school community to share their time and expertise. These real-world connections make learning meaningful and memorable.
