International Mother Language Day 2026 #BISSGausel

International Mother Language Day, known as 'Home Language Day' at BISS, is always a special occasion in our PYP community. It is a joyful annual celebration of who we are: a vibrant, multilingual and culturally diverse learning community.

Throughout the day, our learners experienced the richness of language through stories, games, songs and conversations shared by our parent volunteers, teachers and MYP students. These authentic experiences help our students see language as more than words; language carries identity, culture, history and connection.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Mathers for organizing and facilitating this wonderful community event, and to our parent volunteers and MYP students who generously shared their languages and traditions with the rest of the community. Together, BISS continues to create a learning environment where every language is valued, every identity is honoured, and every learner feels they belong.
