Parents of pupils under the age of 16 can contact the school health service safely and easily at www.helsenorge.no

The school health service is multidisciplinary and consists of a public health nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, psychiatric nurse, psychologist and doctor.  The public health nurses are present at the school and take care of most of the tasks, while the other professional groups are available as an extra resource.

The school health service collaborates with the school on health promotion and preventive work to help ensure a good physical and psychosocial environment for students.  We are concerned with strengthening the pupil's knowledge of their own health and contributing to coping with everyday challenges.

  • All pupils are offered services and information according to a fixed programme for the school health service, including vaccination according to the Norwegian childhood vaccination programme.
  • Individual students are followed up as needed.
  • Teaching and guidance is carried out in groups and classes, as well as participation in some parent meetings.
  • The school health service has an 'open door' policy - you do not need to have an appointment.
  • Parents/guardians and teachers can make contact if necessary.
  • Interacts with other services to create a good support team for the student.

In case of acute illness the GP must be contacted
