Outdoor Education in the Primary School
... students learn directly from their natural surroundings, making real-world connections to their Units of Inquiry.
Outdoor education is an important element of life in the Primary School. We take full advantage of the incredible natural resources around us, ensuring our students develop a deep respect, understanding, and care for the environment.
Our students participate in weekly outdoor education lessons, where they acquire skills that promote environmental stewardship and responsibility. These lessons also help cultivate the IB learner profile attributes, shaping them into responsible global citizens.
It's common for teachers and students to extend their learning beyond the classroom walls. You might often find subjects like Math, English, and other key concepts being explored and experienced in the great outdoors.
