Vision
The British International School of Stavanger Middle Years Programme (MYP) became fully authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) in April 2010. The programme offers academically challenging programmes in English which are designed to develop life-long learners who are critical, creative and open-minded thinkers and who are prepared and motivated to meet the world. Our programme is designed to meet the needs of secondary aged students between 11 and 16 years.
The BISS Middle Years Programme aims that our students will:
- Be challenged to reach their maximum potential
- Become responsible global thinkers that celebrate diversity
- Be encouraged to communicate openly and feel a sense of community both inside and outside the classroom
- Be able to form a positive, social and academic identity that will prepare them to venture out into the world as successful citizens who can contribute to their community and to society.
