Our School

The International Pre-School at The British International School of Stavanger is an exciting and stimulating early learning centre for children between 18 months - 4 years.

We are known as the International Pre-school as we welcome children of all nationalities to our fun and stimulating programmes.

We enjoy excellent indoor and outdoor facilities:

The International Pre-School is recognised and approved ('godkjent') by the Norwegian authorities as a registered Nursery unit. We comply with their standards of health and safety and we partake in their annual inspections.

Our qualified and caring staff understand the importance of making your child's first experiences in a school environment a happy and positive one. Our highly experienced team work closely together, ensuring continuity as your child progresses through our pre-school programme.

The day-to-day running of the International Pre-School is the responsibility of the Head of The International Pre-school, Sally Myrvang. Mrs Myrvang has over 34 years of experience teaching young children, in both Britain and Norway.

There is also a Pre-school committee which is responsible for setting budgets, reading the accounts and the overall administration of the department. This committee consists of two main school Board members, two members of staff and two parents who are elected annually.
